Registered Manager – Nurse-Led Complex Care Service (Learning Disabilities & Mental Health)

We are recruiting for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a nurse-led, community-based complex care service in Barnsley. This is a key leadership role within a specialist service supporting adults with learning disabilities and/or mental health needs, where high-quality, person-centred care is central to delivery.
You will take overall responsibility for the operational, clinical, and financial performance of the service, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate care. You will also play a key role in developing strong partnerships with multidisciplinary teams, commissioners, and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
As Registered Manager, you will:
- Provide strong leadership and day-to-day operational management of the service
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care that meets regulatory and clinical standards
- Balance quality outcomes with financial and performance targets
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with MDTs, commissioners, and external partners
- Contribute to strategic development and service improvement initiatives
- Promote a culture of dignity, respect, choice, and safety for all service users
- Support business development opportunities and service growth
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safeguarding, and governance requirements
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A valid NMC registration (RNLD or RMN)
- At least 5 years’ post-registration experience in mental health or learning disabilities
- Proven experience in a Registered Manager or senior leadership role within healthcare
- Strong understanding of complex care, mental health, and learning disabilities
- Demonstrable leadership, people management, and budgetary responsibility experience
- A supportive, inclusive leadership style with strong clinical and commercial awareness
- A commitment to improving quality, safety, and service user outcomes
