Nursery PractitionerLocation : Andover

Salary: £13.15 £13.50 per hour

A friendly and professional early years setting is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join its childcare team. This role involves supporting the learning, development, and wellbeing of young children within a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with management and team members to help deliver high-quality childcare in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. The role requires someone who is flexible, reliable, positive, and passionate about supporting childrens development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support childrens learning, development, and wellbeing in accordance with the EYFS framework
  • Assist with planning and delivering engaging activities and learning experiences
  • Participate in observations, assessments, and progress reporting for children
  • Act as a key person for a designated group of children
  • Build positive relationships with parents, carers, and external professionals
  • Promote a safe, secure, clean, and stimulating nursery environment
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the setting
  • Support the care and maintenance of nursery equipment and resources
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the nursery
  • Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and nursery events when required
  • Follow all safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Previous experience working within an early years or nursery setting preferred
  • Good understanding of the EYFS framework
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Caring, patient, and professional approach
  • Ability to work flexibly and use initiative
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting childrens welfare
  • Willingness to attend training and professional development opportunities
