Inspection Quality Engineer\n\nSalary: £19.75ph – £20.27ph (based on a 37-hour week - £38,000 - £39,000 per annum)\nLocation: Based near Uxbridge (commutable from Uxbridge, High Wycombe, Slough, Watford, Aylesbury, Reading and West London)\nHours: 37-hour week | Early finish every Friday (12pm)\nOvertime: Paid at 1.5x basic hourly rate\n\nSyntech Recruitment are partnering with a world-renowned aerospace and defence manufacturer based near Uxbridge, supporting the search for an experienced Inspection Quality Engineer to join their Inspection and Quality function.\n\nThis is an opportunity to work within a highly regulated aerospace environment where quality, precision and compliance are absolutely critical. You’ll play a key role in supporting First Article Inspection activities, Patrol Inspection Audits, and ensuring products meet AS9102 and AS9100 standards within a life-saving engineering environment.\n\nImportant Information\n\nDue to the nature of the work, this role is subject to BPSS security clearance checks. Applicants will need to demonstrate a consistent recent 5-year employment history and right to work within the UK before employment can commence.\n\nWhat’s in it for you?\n\n * £19.75ph – £20.27ph\n\n * 37-hour working week\n\n * Friday 12pm finish\n\n * Overtime paid at 1.5x basic rate\n\n * 25 days holiday + bank holidays\n\n * 9% non-contributory pension scheme\n\n * Healthcare Cash Plan\n\n * 4x salary life assurance\n\n * Subsidised canteen\n\n * Cycle to work scheme including e-bikes\n\n * Additional holiday purchase scheme\n\n * Long-term career progression within aerospace engineering\n\nInspection Quality Engineer Responsibilities\n\n * Planning and conducting First Article Inspection (FAI) activities against programme requirements\n\n * Completing First Article Inspection reports for top-level assemblies and deliverable items\n\n * Carrying out Patrol Inspection Audits across manufacturing areas\n\n * Reviewing completed FAI documentation to ensure compliance with AS9102 and internal quality requirements\n\n * Supporting corrective action activities and maintaining MOE reporting metrics\n\n * Creating and managing non-conformance notifications where required\n\n * Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across inspection and quality processes\n\n * Working closely with manufacturing, inspection and quality teams to ensure products meet required standards\n\n * Using systems such as Qpulse QPM, SAP and Microsoft Office for reporting and documentation activities\n\nWhat we are looking for\n\n * Previous experience within a Quality Engineer, Inspection Engineer, First Article Inspector or Aerospace Inspection role\n\n * Strong understanding of AS9100 audits and AS9102 First Article Inspection processes\n\n * Experience within manufacturing or engineering environments\n\n * Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and 2D/3D technical data\n\n * Good understanding of inspection tools, quality systems and manufacturing processes\n\n * Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Office and quality management systems\n\n * Experience using Qpulse QPM, SAP or equivalent systems would be advantageous\n\n * Aerospace or defence industry experience highly desirable\n\n * HNC/HND/NVQ level qualification within Engineering or similar preferred\n\nIf you’re an experienced Quality or Inspection professional looking to step into a highly respected aerospace manufacturer with excellent benefits, structured hours and long-term career stability, we’d love to hear from you.\n\nApply now or contact Zachary at Syntech Recruitment for more information
