About the Role\n\nWe are looking for experienced Fabricator Welders to join our busy workshop team in Basingstoke. The successful candidates will be involved in the fabrication and welding of structural steel components to high quality standards, working from engineering and isometric drawings. \nThis is an excellent opportunity to join a growing structural steel engineering company with ongoing projects across commercial, industrial, and infrastructure sectors.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nFabricate and assemble structural steelwork and associated components in a workshop environment\nCarry out MIG and/or TIG welding to required specifications and quality standards\nRead and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, and isometric drawings\nMeasure, cut, prepare, and fit steel sections and plate accurately\nOperate workshop machinery and hand tools safely and effectively\nInspect completed work to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications\nWork collaboratively with supervisors, fabricators, and other workshop personnel\nMaintain high standards of housekeeping and health & safety within the workshop\n\nRequirements\n\nProven experience as a Fabricator Welder within structural steel or heavy engineering\nCompetent in MIG welding and/or TIG welding\nStrong fabrication and assembly skills\nAbility to read and understand engineering and isometric drawings\nExperience working with structural steel sections and components\nGood attention to detail and ability to work to tight tolerances\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team\nReliable, punctual, and safety conscious\n\nDesirable\n\nRelevant welding or fabrication qualifications/certifications\nExperience working to coded welding standards\nOverhead crane or forklift experience/certification\nPrevious experience within a structural steel workshop environment
